……..BLURRRED……. DREAMS……

In  my  arms I  see a porcelain faced  baby,

The  face  of  a human  with  the  mouth  of  a parrot,

I see women  taking the  afternoon siesta,

And  amidst  them a  grandma staring past me into  the  oblivion,

I  hear  noises and  see  a marriage  in  procession,

And  in  the  midst  of  the cacophony maidens  dancing  to  a  rhythm,

And  suddenly  the  images start  to  blur…..

Until  I am  travelling  to a different  land,

And with  me  are people  from my  everyday life,

I  reach to a place where  the  sky  is   blue,

And  just  when  I am thinking  that  this  place is  the  same  as  my own,

In the firmament I  see  loud  patches  of  scarlet  hue,

I am  wondering  what  place  this  is  and  where  we  are,

When  one  of  my  people  informs me  we  are  on  Mars,

I see a huge space  ship greater than  any  man  has  seen,

And  on  its iron  body  the image  of  a man’s  face  contorted  in  pain,

I see strange  objects  moving  in  and  out  of  the  ship,

Which  had  neither  an  enter  nor  an exit,

Wondering  in  amazement I wander far  away,

From  where I can see the stars  burning at bay,

And  here as  I was  happily lost in my thoughts,

Savouring every  passing minute of  peace  and calm,

When my reveries were broken by a vision,

Of  an orb like object heading straight for a collision,

It was a fierce blue object radiating light like fire,

And I was  gripped with the fear of being engulfed ,

In dust and mire,

I cursed my fate as my seconds were numbered ,

I  saw people running  helter  skelter for their lives,

And I wished  only  if  I,

Had  not travelled to this alien land,

But strange are the ways of God to men,

I run   for  my life as fast as I can,

Closing my eyes I make a plunge,

Into the vast  expanse of space,

And I open my eyes after a brief moment of time,

Only to discover that I was  sound and safe,

Curled up in sleep in the  softness  of  my bed..
