Dark cold nights,
without moon or starlight,
There lives a lonely lover,
Waiting for the night to be over,
The rustling of the leaves,
The wind against my cheeks,
Pitter patter the rain
dropping like the sky is in pain
Longer the nights deeper the ache,
Sleep deprived eyes have become but, stones
No more tears ,no more hopes, only broken dreams,
Memories that are hard to ignore.
These are the verses from a broken heart,
Which yearns for love without a faint start.

the boundaries of language even f a bit twisted and torn in poetry, is unable to express how does a broken heart feels. Perhaps an image or a sound(pitter patter) is a bit more helpful. But still this is straight from a poet's heart.
ReplyDeleteevery sad lover has his personal tale..n u r right that every single sentence to express the pain is a n understatement... mine is personal to..it just happened ona night when it was drizzling.
ReplyDeleteDont tell me its original....... its simply mind F@#$ing awesome:))))))
ReplyDelete@abdur: thanks bhaijaan
ReplyDeleteFor me this shows the eagerness of a soul that is trying to find her counterpart but only in her thoughts. Night represents waiting, longer the waiting longer the pain and also fear of unknown. The last line is really awesome that represents personality of a sad lover which didn't find her love yet.
ReplyDelete@kundan:it's abt a love found and then lost.but ur interpretive capabilities are gud i must say.
